A recent report of possible underage partying in the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area resulted in the arrests of five metro Atlanta men on drug, alcohol and firearms charges.

Dawson County Sheriff's Capt. Tony Wooten said Department of Natural Resources officers alerted deputies June 21 after they saw several men drinking alcohol and firing shotguns into the air.

When deputies arrived at the management area in southern Dawson County, they also found nearly 4 ounces of suspected marijuana in vacuumed-sealed bags, Wooten said.

"It was a considerable amount of marijuana," he said.

The men were each charged with consumption of alcohol on a wildlife management area, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.

Kyle James Brenna and Justin John Clain, both 22, and Daniel Jisu Lim and Alexander J. Lockie, both 21, were released from custody after bonds ranging from $10,200 to $15,200.

Clain is from Atlanta, while the other three are from Alpharetta.

A fifth suspect, 21-year-old Maxwell Byron Lomas of Roswell, remains in custody.

His bond has also been set at $15,200.

While no one was injured in the incident, Wooten said it's better to be safe than sorry.

"Anytime you mix alcohol and drugs and guns, it can be a scary situation," Wooten said.
