The threat of rough weather caused the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce to reschedule its inaugural Boot, Shoot and Boogie Shooting Clay Tournament event.

The event was originally scheduled for June 6.

The new date for the event will be June 20. The hours and schedule of events will be the same as before. The shooting tournament will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a barbecue dinner, which will feature the Coal Mountain Band.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone but feel, with the weather forecast for Friday, postponement will be the best option for everyone," said Brenda Mason, officer manager for the chamber.
