Tickets are still available for a national leadership development seminar that will be simulcast locally.
The Chick-fil-A Leadercast, broadcast from Atlanta, will feature a variety of speakers including world-renowned leaders. The simulcast will air Friday at the Lakeview Center.
Organizers say attendees can expect to be challenged, inspired and encouraged as they learn to improve leadership skills while networking with other leaders in their area.
"The list of speakers is fantastic," said Brooke Anderson, general manager of Etowah Water and Sewer Authority, one of several local, corporate sponsors.
Among the scheduled speakers are best-selling authors Andy Stanley, John C. Maxwell, Henry Cloud and David Allen; Jack Welch, founder of the Jack Welch Management Institute; Mike Krzyzeweski, head men's basketball coach at Duke University and Team USA; Navy SEAL and star of Act of Valor LCDR Rorke Denver; and 2012 Summer Games double gold medal winner in track and field Sanya Richards-Ross.
Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice will also appear in a video interview.
Tickets for the event are $79 for adults or $49 for students. Registration begins at 8 a.m.
"This is an excellent opportunity to obtain leadership training at a very low cost," Anderson.
Founded in 2000 by John C. Maxwell, whose vision was to create a different kind of leadership conference, Leadercast has grown into one of the premier leader development events for leadership growth in the nation.
"If you are a leader or want to be a leader in the community, civic organization, charity or church, this is the event for you," Anderson said.
