Authority accepting applications for grant

The Dawsonville Downtown Development Authority is once again accepting applications to award grants to businesses within Dawsonville that promote trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities. The authority has included the $25,000 grant opportunity as a part of its 2017 budget. "It is an honor to be part of the grant process that will be available for the local businesses and future business owners of Dawsonville Downtown Development areas," said Seanie Zappendorf, acting chairwoman for the authority.

The First Baptist Church of Dawsonville hosted its Vacation Bible School kick-off event on Sunday, June 5, complete with inflatables, a petting zoo, bluegrass music and a stunt show featuring a motorcycle and BMX bikes.
