HALL COUNTY - A tip from a concerned citizen led to a man’s cellphone allegedly containing photographs and videos of “minors engaged in sexually explicit content,” resulting in 54 charges, according to authorities.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware said the tip came in November 2018, and the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office contacted Hall County’s investigators regarding a cellphone either controlled by Justin Jeffrey Edge, 18, of Hall County, or that was in his possession.

After receiving a search warrant for the cellphone, Georgia Bureau of Investigation analysts examined the contents and turned over their findings to the Hall County investigators.

Investigators were issued warrants Jan. 11 for 54 counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and Edge was arrested Sunday, Jan. 13.

No bond was set, and no attorney was listed for Edge with Magistrate Court officials Monday, Jan. 14.

The case is still under investigation.
