Joe Lane and Judy Stephens Cox will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sept. 5, 2008.

The couple was originally married Sept. 5 1958 at the home of Judge W.O. Vaughters, who officiated the ceremony.

The couple has three daughters, Jill, Joy and Julie and six grandchildren, Leslie and Travis Reeves, Adam and Alana Harben and Dillion and Griffin Self.

Together the couple has made a family they cherish.

Separately, Joe Lane has been the Dawson County Probate Judge, Sole Commissioner of Dawson County and currently serves as the Mayor of Dawsonville. He has received many awards and is admired and appreciated by many people.

Judy went on to finish school, was a pharmacy technician and was in the health care field for many years. She currently works at Fred’s and enjoys serving the people she loves.

The family of Joe Lane and Judy are very proud of the example the two have set for them all and wish them a very happy 50th wedding anniversary.
