Ellen Rosanna “Sis” Lance, 73, of Dahlonega, died Sept. 2, 2018. Ellen was born in Hall County on April 23, 1945 to the late Hoyt Bealer and Elda Mae Bell Sheriff Lance. Ellen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lumpkin County. She was a very talented artist and her passion was painting portraits. Ellen loved music and jewelry and when she entered the room she was the life of the party. She was a unique and very straight forward person, but the great quality of Ellen was her love for her family. She proved it every day. Ellen loved her genealogy, and she was proud of her Indian heritage. Her sister, Gail Lance, and brothers, Jeff Lance, Roy “Jeep” Lance, and Nickey Lance, preceded her in death.
