woman's club

Dawson County Woman’s Club will join the General Federation of Women’s Club Georgia for Statewide Day of Service on Saturday, April 28, by collecting items for victims of domestic violence.

All Georgia clubs will focus on aiding local domestic violence shelters throughout Georgia, and Dawson County Woman’s Club will focus on aiding No One Alone or NOA, a domestic violence shelter that serves Dawson and Lumpkin Counties.  Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention is the signature project of General Federation of Women’s Clubs, internationally.

Community members may fill boxes with donated items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 at the Kroger Marketplace in Dawsonville. The items will go to women and children affected by domestic violence who have had to leave personal belongings behind.

Items needed include diapers of all sizes, baby wipes, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons and pads, shaving cream and razors, paper goods, soap, laundry detergent and gift cards.

Please meet club members at the Kroger with donations to help victims of domestic violence.
