Authorities reported a serious single-car wreck off of Jot Em Down Road, near the Dawson County/Forsyth County line this morning as a vehicle veered off of the road and hit a tree.
According to Georgia State Patrol spokesman Cpl. Travis Sanders, at approximately 7:30 on Monday morning a vehicle traveling north on Ga. 400 left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree.
An off-duty Forsyth firefighter was first on scene at the wreck, and the vehicle's sole occupant was extricated and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
