The CVS pharmacy on Hwy. 53 in Dawsonville was closed Friday after a woman crashed her car into the side wall.
No one was injured in the incident that occurred just after noon.
Dawson County Emergency Services Assistant Chief Danny Speaks said an engineering crew would need to evaluate the building before the store could reopen.
"We need to make sure there is no structural damage. Our biggest concern is safety," he said.
Dawson County Sheriff's Deputy Russell Smith said the driver of the gold Lexus was attempting to pull into a parking place when she rolled over the cement parking stop, onto the sidewalk and into the brick building.
A makeup display inside the store was knocked over, according to Smith.
