It's time for the inaugural Dawson County News "Best of Dawson" readers' choice awards. Beginning today readers are able to nominate businesses and professionals online or in print in multiple categories to receive an award.

Nominate your favorites in categories such as, barbeque, florist or volunteer and then be sure to vote daily.

Nominations will be accepted from now until April 13. Voters are asked to nominate and/or vote in at least 20 categories.

Physical ballots will be accepted on original newsprint only, no photocopies.

There is no fee to vote online and voters may nominate and vote on a daily basis.

Official voting will begin on April 20 and winners will be announced in a special edition magazine that will be inserted in the Dawson County News in June.
