Georgia State Patrol officers responded to a single-car accident around 11:35 p.m. Thursday, April 25 near SR 136 and Shamrock Lane, which resulted in a fatality.

The driver, identified as 34-year-old Adam Jon Hain of Dawsonville, was driving his 2009 Nissan Altima north on 136.

According to a press release from Georgia State Patrol, Hain was “traveling too fast for the wet road conditions.”

The release continues to say the car spun from the east shoulder of the road to the west shoulder, where it struck a mailbox and several trees. Hain was not wearing a seatbelt, but was not ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There did not appear to be any drugs or alcohol involved.
