The 10th annual barn dance and BBQ dinner fundraiser for Wee Books is set for this Saturday night.
Wee Books is a nonprofit organization that sends a free book each month to Dawson County children up to age five. All proceeds from the fundraiser go towards the nonprofit as they continue to grow. There are currently over 800 children enrolled in the free program.
Tickets for the barn dance and barbecue are $36 for adults, $10 for kids ages six to 12 and free for kids five and under. It includes admission, Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ dinner, two drinks, Western style dancing with instruction and special games for kids.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. April 28 at Kinsey Farm located at 7170 Jot Em Down Road in Gainesville.
