Dawson County Emergency Services personnel responded to and contained a warehouse fire Tuesday night off G.W. Taffar Road.

Emergency Services Director Danny Thompson said Wednesday that crews responded to a call of a reported structure fire around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at 55 Impulse Industrial Drive. Upon arrival crews observed visible smoke and initiated a ladder company out of Forsyth County to help control the fire.

Crews initiated an internal attack and found a large commercial dust collector heavily involved in fire. Thompson said they were able to control the fire within 15 minutes and completely secure the building within another 20 minutes, and remained on scene until around 11 p.m.

Thompson said one person was treated on the scene and released and that there were no other injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but believed to be accidental.
