State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville) was recently honored with the Distinguished Legislator Award by the Georgia 9th District Republican Party at the annual 9th District Convention dinner at the Dillard House in Dillard. Tanner was recognized April 12 for his dedication and public service to the North Georgia area and his recent legislative successes during the 2019 legislative session. “I want to thank the Georgia 9th District Republican Party for this recognition, and I extend my deepest gratitude to the other leaders and members of the party that work so hard to make the North Georgia area a great place to serve,” Tanner said. “The Republican Party has done a tremendous job bringing economic growth and prosperity to our region, and each year, my time serving alongside the party becomes more meaningful. Georgia will always be home for me and my family, and I hope to continue to make this state a great place for everyone to live.” Tanner was recommended to receive this award by Lumpkin County Republican Party Chairman Tim Youngblood and Bill Minor, who previously served as the Chairman of the Dawson County Republican Party.
