Pancake breakfast is Saturday

There's no need to fret over what to make for breakfast Saturday morning.

Instead, arrive early to the Veterans Affairs of Dawson County's pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Dawson County School Board Educational and Community Building.

The breakfast of all-you-can-eat pancakes, a serving of bacon or sausage, and coffee or juice will be $5 with proceeds benefiting the group's mission to honor veterans and military personnel from Dawson County and the surrounding area.

The group holds key events on Memorial Day, Veterans Day and POW/MIA Recognition Day.

"Without the community support and generous donations of local businesses and those that come to enjoy a good breakfast, we would not be able to continue this important mission," said Don Brown, president.

Tickets are available at Etowah Water and Sewer Authority and the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce on Ga. 400. They can also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
