An educational seminar for natural gas customers will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 1-3 p.m. at the Dawson County Extension Office, 298 Academy Avenue, Suite 100 (Dawson County Agricultural Center) in Dawsonville.

Designed specifically for natural gas customers who live in the Atlanta Gas Light Service Area, this seminar will provide in-depth information on heating assistance programs that are available to qualified customers, including programs targeting those age 60 and older.

Those attending should bring verification of income, their most recent natural gas bill, and Social Security cards for all members of the household in order to learn if they qualify for these programs.

Call the Dawson County Extension Office (706) 265-2442 by Tuesday, Aug. 26 to make an appointment to attend.

Those who are not able to attend, but who want to learn ways to reduce their natural gas costs, should contact Leigh Anne Aaron (706) 795-2281 or Jackie Dallas at (706) 543-3788 for more information.
