The fourth annual Sparks in the Motorsports Park event is scheduled for this 4th of July and will be the biggest display of fireworks in town.
The Atlanta Motorsports Park in western Dawson County is organizing the event next Tuesday that will be seen for miles around.
Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis and park owner Jeremy Porter said staff is recommending visitors load as many people in a car as they can safely, as well as to arrive well in advance of the 9 p.m. fireworks, to maximize space and efficiency when parking.
In addition to the colorful display of thundering fireworks just after the sun goes down, there are lots of fun activities for the entire family planned at the racetrack through the afternoon and evening.
Gates open at 3:30 p.m. for general parking and Fourth of July festivities, including a super cross stunt show, live band, bounce houses and parachuters.
Food trucks and vendors will have snacks and tasty treats to purchase.
Sparks in the Motorsports Park has a Facebook event page where more details can be obtained as the event nears.
Atlanta Motorsports Park is at 20 Duck Thurmond Road, Dawsonville.
