One person from Forsyth County was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon on Ga. 400 in Dawson County.

Emergency workers said Krista Stein, 47, was thrown from the motorcycle on which she was traveling with her husband and died at the scene.

Her husband, Daniel Stein, 53, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Dawson County Battalion Chief Robby Lee.

"His condition was critical," Lee said. "He had some very serious injuries, some internal, and was taken into surgery."

He was listed in stable condition Tuesday, according to officials at the hospital in Atlanta.

The collision occurred about 12:45 p.m. at Henry Grady Highway and Ga. 400, according to Gordy Wright with the Georgia State Patrol.

The motorcycle driven by Daniel Stein was heading north on 400 when it was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Tahoe, driven by 61-year-old Ronnie Hugh Anglin of Flowery Branch, was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Ga. 400 from Henry Grady.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no charges had been filed and the state patrol's investigation was continuing.

The death was the first on Dawson County roads in 2012. There were four traffic-related fatalities in 2011.
