The Dawson County Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate a blaze that destroyed a mobile home on Grover Burt Road late last week.
About a dozen emergency officials from multiple stations battled the fire for more than an hour Friday.
No one was at home when the fire started. A neighbor reported heavy smoke billowing from the roof at about 2 p.m.
Fire Marshal Tim Satterfield said the fire did not appear to be suspicious.
“We had to break the front door to get inside,” he said.
As of Monday, Satterfield was not ruling out an electrical issue.
