Miss Relay for Life set for March 6

The Dawson County Miss Relay for Life Beauty Pageant will be Mar 6. in the Dawson County Middle School auditorium.

The pageant is open to all females, birth through 12th grade with all funds received set to benefit Dawson County Relay for Life.

Five optional categories are open to sign up for, including: Photogenic, prettiest dress, prettiest smile, prettiest eye and prettiest hair, with a $10 bonus for each category applied for.

Divisions available include: Baby Miss - 0-18 months, Tiny Miss - 19-35 months, Teeny Miss - 3-4 years, Petite Miss - 5 years-1st grade, Sweetheart - 2nd-3rd grade, Junior Miss - 4th-5th grade, Teen Miss 6th-8th grade, Miss - 9th-12th grade.

Contestants will be judged based on the following: Age appropriateness of attire, personality, overall appearance and stage presence.

Awards will be given to the winner, plus first and second runners-up in each age division.

Contestants in the Junior, Teen, and Miss divisions should be prepared to answer onstage questions.
Ambassador Queen will be given to the contestant who raises the most money to be donated to the American Cancer Society, money must be submitted no later than rehearsal date of March 5.

Early Bird discount to apply for $25 has been extended through Feb 29.

A late fee of $20 will be applied beginning on March 1.

The final day to apply for the pageant is on March 5, one hour prior to the 1 p.m. rehearsal.

Admission is$ 5 (one free adult admission per paid contestant) and doors open at noon.

Intermission will be held from 3 to 3:30 p.m.
