Local family to appear on Feud

It's not often that a feud between families is televised, but one Dawson family will soon be having their battles aired on television.

The Simmons family episode of Family Feud will be airing at 7 p.m. Jan. 29, on the CW Network.

The family, consisting of father Larry, mother Mary and siblings Katie, Dan and Cole filmed the episodes, hosted by comedian Steve Harvey, in May 2013 in front of a live audience.

"The experience was awesome. Steve Harvey is hilarious but also a genuinely nice man and the crew made us feel like family," said Mary Simmons. "And, I can assure you that it is much easier to play the game from your living room then it is to play on the set."

While they are sworn to secrecy until the episodes air, the Simmons family is letting friends and neighbors know that, should they win, they will be on each night of the week until they lose.
