Local agencies investigating mobile home fire

Local officials are currently investigating a mobile home fire that occurred around 5:16 Monday at 39 Red Pine Trail off Hwy. 136 in Dawsonville. 

A press release from Dawson County Emergency Services Director Danny Thompson states that personnel responded to reports of a structure fire and responded, encountering a single-wide mobile home with heavy flames showing from the rear of the structure.

Personnel received reports that a male tenant was accounted for, and "crews mounted an aggressive interior attack to control the fire and perform search and rescue of any victims," the release states. 

The fire was under control by 6 p.m. and the unaccounted for male was located at another residence. 

The press release states that the incident is being investigated by the state Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms as well as the state Fire Marshal's Office, the Dawson County Fire Marshal's Office and the Dawson County Sheriff's Office. 

The cause is undetermined at this time. 

No civilians or fire service personnel were injured in the incident.
