Lions Clubs vice district governor schedules visit

The Vice District Governor of District 18-D, Grace Clower, will be making her official visit to the Dawsonville Lions Club at its regular meeting Sept. 8. 

 

The District Governor or the Vice District Governor makes an “Official Visit” to 37 clubs in 22 counties in North Georgia during their one year term. 

 

Vice-District Governor Clower has been involved in the Lion’s Club for over 22 years. 

 

She is a charter member and past president of the Snellville Lioness Club and past president of the Snellville Lions Club. 

 

At the District level, she is a past zone chair and a past region chair.

 

She also served as District Diabetes Awareness Chair and is a Certified Guiding Lion.

 

Vice District Governor Clower is the recipient of the Lion of the Year Award, two Order of the Golden Chain Awards, a Tom Bingham Award; and is a Melvin Jones Fellow and a member of the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Ten Million Dollar Club.

 

Clower is retired from the United States Department of Agriculture after 36 years of service. 

 

She and her late husband Woody had a total of 46 years service to Lionism at the time of his death in 2006. 

 

She has one son and one grandson.
