Expect those at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame Dec. 19 to be dressed in red and black as legendary University of Georgia Coach and author Vince Dooley arrives to sign his two latest books.

“We’re excited to have Vince Dooley be a part of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame,” said Steve Holder, who oversees museum operations.

Dooley will sign copies of his two newest releases, “Dooley’s Play Book; the 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History” and “Hairy Dawg’s Journey through the Peach State,” aimed at a childhood audience.

The books will be available for purchase during the event, which is scheduled to take place from noon until 2 p.m. in the museum’s Victory Lane exhibit. No outside merchandise will be signed, according to Dooley’s publicist.

Prior to the book signing, Dooley will be the guest of honor at a private luncheon, sponsored by Angora Foods.

Proceeds will benefit the racing hall of fame.
