The 2010 Dawson County Produce Market was a true success, according to Dawson County Extension Agent Clark Beusse.

On Wednesday and Saturdays during the summer many local gardeners and farmers sold produce to hundreds of citizens. The market has provided both a location for farmers to sell the fruits of their labor, and a place for those with little or no garden, a place to purchase fresh vegetables.

Since the summer growing season has slowly come to an end, it is time to close this year’s produce market. The last date will be Saturday, Sept. 18.

“I thank all the citizens who bought and sold at the market,” Beusse said.

Plans are already underway to make next year’s Dawson County Produce Market better than ever, according to Beusse.
