If you think it’s cold outside, wait until you take a dive into Lake Lanier on Saturday for the 14th Annual Polar Bear Swim.

Jumpers of all ages will take the plunge at 2 p.m. to ring in the New Year at the Boathouse on Clarks Bridge Road in Gainesville.

All jumpers will receive an official 2011 Polar Bear Swim T-Shirt, a bowl of hot chili or soup, dessert and drink.

Registration is $25 for a single jumper and $50 for a family up to four jumpers. Spectators are free.

Hot showers will be available in the boathouse.

All proceeds benefit youth programming at the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club.

Registration forms are available at www.LCKC.org.
