A multiple-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 53 near the curve at Dale Conner Construction has killed one, according to Dawson County Emergency Services Fire Chief Lanier Swafford. 

Swafford said the wreck occurred before 8 a.m. Monday and involved a tractor trailer. 

Hwy. 53 is closed near the scene and traffic is being diverted onto Buddy Burt Road. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route.
