Dawson County homeowners will have their chance to learn about the county and voice questions to community leaders this weekend.

The Dawson County Homeowners Civic Association will be holding its annual meeting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bowen Center for the Arts.

"This year's [association's] annual meeting will feature not only our program of a panel of guest speakers highlighting ‘Who Runs the County?' but also our annual Mike Brown award recipient will be recognized for 2014," said association president Jane Graves.

Guest speakers will include County Commission Chairman Mike Berg and County Tax Assessor Kurt Tangle.

"We welcome all county residents, homeowners and their guests to come and enjoy breakfast snacks as well as our eye-opening program with plenty of opportunities to participate in questions and discussion with ‘the experts,'" Graves said.

Breakfast will be served from 9:30 to 10 a.m. A short business meeting will follow at 10 a.m. and the program will begin at 10.30 a.m. The meeting will close by noon.
