Fall fashions will take the runway Saturday at the Dawson County Woman's Club's "Giving goes Glam" fashion show and luncheon.

Residents are invited to enjoy a stylish afternoon reviewing the season's hottest fashion trends along with a silent auction and other activities.

Mary Bob Fox, a member of the woman's club, said a great turn-out is anticipated.

"We know women enjoy seeing new fashions, eating lunch together and buying things, so we decided to bring back this event to fundraise for the club," she said.

The clothes being shown are from Dillard's Department Store and are being modeled by representatives from the club and the Dawson County High School Juniorettes.

Sheriff Billy Carlisle, county manager Kevin Tanner and commission chair Mike Berg are reported to be special guests and models for the fashion show.

"The models are already beginning to gather and select clothes," Fox said earlier this month.

Silent auction items include jewelry, art and gift certificates.

President Cindy Jenson said a $3,250 bracelet will be one of the items available.

"You will absolutely love the variety of items up for bid," she said.

Located at Lakeview Center, the doors will open at 11:30 a.m. Fox estimates the fashion show to begin at 1 p.m.

She encourages women to come out, support the club and bring a friend.

Tickets are $25 each and sponsorships are available in gold, platinum and bronze levels.
