With October well underway Halloween is right around the corner, and despite added safety precautions needed this year, there are still many fun and safe options for families to celebrate.

Here are a few of the upcoming Halloween events for families in the North Georgia community.

Rock Creek Park Trunk or Treat - 445 Martin Road, Dawsonville

Rock Creek Park will host its annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event will be held on the park’s soccer fields, which have more space available to spread booths than in the past. Vehicles will not be allowed in the event area, so all booths will be tables, tents or other activities.

Admission will be free, but concessions and dinner will be available for purchase at the event. According to the event website, candy, treats, toys, promotional items, carnival games, a bounce house and hay rides will be available at the event. There will also be opportunities to donate blood.

Proceeds from concessions will benefit the Dawson County Parks and Recreation Relay for Life team.
