School may be back in session, but the pool at Dawson County Veteran’s Memorial Park is still open.

The Dawson County Park and Recreation Department recently announced new pool hours, for visitors’ use and convenience.

“Your pool is now open daily (Monday through Friday) from 3-6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.,” said Dawson County Parks and Recreation Director Lisa Henson.

“Lifeguards Kalie Gerrells, Taylor Tolbert and Jacob Barr will be on duty through Labor Day allowing for these new expanded hours,” she added.

“As you all know, August and September are typically our hottest months and what better way to end your day than a dip in the pool,” Henson said.

Season passes are good through Labor Day and regular afternoon admission is $1.
