The good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel.  The bad news is we are still in the tunnel.

The people of Dawson County are doing well in following the guidelines to prevent the coronavirus from taking hold.  Remember this is an acquired virus.  Keep your defenses up.  This is not the time to get slack.  We need to finish strong. We are still having active cases being reported.

The peak is projected to be early May. That means another 3 weeks of active cases in May. Yes, it is a hassle to wear your face mask in public. Yes, we cannot have 3 people in the front seat of a pickup truck. Yes, only one goes into the grocery store and the other sits in the car. Do not get discouraged.  We are all learning a new way of living.

The finish line is close; let us not stumble. To quote Ludlow Porch, “We are all in this together alone”.
