A Dawson County High School senior was killed in a multi-vehicle wreck Monday morning on Hwy. 53 E just outside of Dawsonville.

Principal Richard Crumley notified DCHS parents in an email that student Grace Sheer had been killed in the wreck that occurred near Buddy Burt Road shortly before 8 a.m.

"Members of our Crisis Response Team are available to meet with students individually and in groups today as well as over the coming days and weeks," Crumley wrote. "Please contact the school office if you feel your child is in need of additional assistance; we have a list of school and community mental health resources."

The wreck involved a tractor trailer, according to Dawson County Emergency Services Fire Chief Lanier Swafford.
