Food Truck Fridays, originally scheduled to begin on July 10, have been canceled until Aug. 14 due to COVID-19, according to the City of Dawsonville website.

“Due to the ongoing concern of COVID-19, we have canceled our July 10 food truck night at the recommendation of the Department of Health,” the website said. “Please stay tuned for details for the August 14 Food Truck Friday event and we hope to see you then!”

The event, which in the past has taken place in downtown Dawsonville on Bill Elliot Street and Tucker Avenue, was scheduled this year to take place for the first time at the new farmer’s market pavilion on Allen Street.

Details on upcoming dates for Food Truck Fridays will be released by the city on its website closer to Aug. 14. For more information on Dawsonville events, visit the city event calendar at https://www.dawsonville-ga.gov/calendar.
