Dawsonville-based bank completes $10 million recapitalization plan

Dawson County's only locally based bank on Monday announced the successful completion of a $10 million recapitalization campaign. "Regulatory approval to break escrow was received on May 3, 2016 and our management team is already employing this capital to grow the bank in a sound and profitable manner," said John Lewis, president and CEO of Foothills Community Bank. "This is really a milestone for the bank.
