Dawson County Womans Club to host annual fundraiser

The Dawson County Woman's Club will host its annual fundraiser, Giving Goes Glam, on Saturday at the Church of the Apostles on Hwy. 400 and Grant Road West. The Sept. 10 luncheon and fashion show will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall, where participants will partake in a silent auction and mix and mingle event. This year's theme for the fashion show is "Diamonds and Denim," and will feature a mix of both glamour and denim.

The First Baptist Church of Dawsonville hosted its Vacation Bible School kick-off event on Sunday, June 5, complete with inflatables, a petting zoo, bluegrass music and a stunt show featuring a motorcycle and BMX bikes.
