Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dawson County motorists likely won’t get the chance this year to pass a few bucks to local firefighters taking donations at intersections around town.
But that won’t stop local first responders from raising money for the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
According to a Dawson County press release, from June 15 to June 21, 2020, the Dawson County Fire Department will host a virtual boot drive online to raise donations.
Donations can be made by visiting https://fundraise.gfbf.org/team/290476.
The release states that 10% of all donations will be credited to Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services for fire education and prevention in the community.
