Authorities say that a Lumpkin County woman was killed on Monday night during a single-vehicle wreck in Dawson County.

According to Georgia State Patrol Spokesman Cpl. Travis Sanders, at approximately 10 p.m. Monday night troopers responded to a single-vehicle wreck on Kelly Bridge Road and found that the vehicle's driver, Nicole Amber Moss, 40, of Dahlonega, had suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Investigators have determined that while traveling west on Kelly Bridge Road, Moss lost control of the 2002 Ford Explorer she was driving and traveled off the roadway, overturning the vehicle and striking a tree.

"Seat belts were not in use at the time of the crash," Sanders said in an email to the Dawson County News. "It is unknown if drugs, alcohol, or cell phones contributed to the crash."
