Danielle Yarbrough, human resources director for Dawson County Government, was presented with her certification of Certified Human Resources Manager during the Georgia Local Government Personnel Association’s spring conference June 12-15 in Augusta.
To achieve the certification, Yarbrough completed 12 classes and a learning project under the supervision of a Carl Vinson Institute of Government faculty member.
The certification program is the only program in the
state of Georgia where local government employees may become certified in the
Human Resources field.
It is sponsored by GLGPA in conjunction with the Association County Commissioners of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association and is administered by the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
The program is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of those responsible for the management and administration of personnel systems in local government in Georgia.
