The Dawson County Produce Market will reopen for business this weekend.

The market will begin June 27 at the Dawson County Extension Office.

A similar market at the Dawsonville Municipal Complex is already open for the season.

The markets are open at two locations in Dawson County, setting up around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the municipal complex and from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Dawson County Extension Office on Academy Street.

There is no charge to sell for the county, but only locally, home-grown fruits and vegetables are allowed -no canned goods.

Sellers must be Dawson County or Dawson County-adjacent residents.

For the Dawsonville market, sellers must fill out a form at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. Booths are $10 a month.

If you are interested in selling at the county market, contact the extension office at (706) 265-2442.

For more information about the market at the municipal complex, call the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame at (706) 216-7223.
