Citizens of Dawson County are invited to attend a joint community connections workshop Thursday.
The July 13 workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 201 Recreation Rd. (the Margie Weaver Senior Center at Veterans Memorial Park) in Dawsonville.
Light refreshments will be served.
The workshop is a chance for citizens to meet with heads of local government so that they may address questions and concerns, as well as to inform the public of projects and plans that the city and county have in store.
The event is a partnership of Dawson County, the City of Dawsonville and the Dawson County Sheriff's Office.
Providing community overviews will be County Manager David Headley, Dawsonville Mayor James Grogan and Sheriff Jeff Johnson.
The workshop will include a presentation from guest speaker Kurt Tangel, Dawson County Tax Assessor.
