Cornerstone Christian Church along with Dawson County Parks and Recreation is offering a fun, safe way to cool down over the next two months.

Summer-in-the-SON offers a family-friendly, free pool party for the whole community. The event is held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday night in June and July at the Veterans Memorial Park swimming pool, located at 186 Recreation Road in Dawsonville.

Kids and parents alike can look forward to themes like Bounce Mania, Family Karaoke Night, Proud to be an American Night, All Water Wednesday and more.

Admission and food are free, as are the activities and games provided with the program.

However, the church would like the public to note that this event is first come, first served, so supplies, space and food is limited. It would also like to stress that due to the family focus of this event, attendees please exercise modesty in dress and behavior.
