Georgia's first continuous flow intersection at Hwy. 53 and Ga. 400 will be unveiled at 10 p.m. Monday as the signals will switch to accommodate the new traffic flow. District Engineer Brent Cook in a Georgia Department of Transportation press release said that the shift is being done at a non-peak time for safety. "This will allow Georgia DOT staff and contractors to be in the lanes removing barrels, and checking on the aspects of the intersection with minimal traffic impacts," Cook said.
