Summer is almost upon us and the first wave of camps is getting ready to begin.

The Dawson County Arts Council is offering several camps over the summer that range from classic arts, art education and sculpting to theater and music lessons. Each camp has a dedicated teaching staff to make the experience the best it can be, said Marcia Chelf, executive director for the Dawson County Arts Council.

"I am very excited about our teaching staff this year as they have really looked at our students needs and adjusted the classes to offer the potential in learning along with fun," she said.

Chelf said that the camp promises to be fun for all ages as well as educational.

Art summer camps will span throughout June and July, which will keep students occupied and engaged throughout the summer.
