A Tennessee woman was arrested last week in connection with the April 23 burglary of the Burberry outlet store in Dawsonville. Three suspects broke into the store and managed to get away with nearly $40,000 in merchandise.
Kiana Presley, 22, of Memphis was arrested in Tennessee and extradited to Georgia and placed in custody of the Dawson County Sheriff's Office on May 31.
Presley was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, a felony charge.
According to Sheriff Jeff Johnson, the arrest warrant says that Presley, together with three unknown subjects, "conspired to commit a certain crime, to wit: Burglary..."
The warrant accuses Presley of renting the vehicle that was involved in the commission of the burglary.
Presley was released on $5,000 bond on June 1.
Johnson said the investigation is ongoing.
"Our criminal investigations component is actively working some additional leads in an effort to connect Presley to additional suspects," Johnson said.
