The body of a 19-year-old girl who was reported missing at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday has been recovered from Lake Lanier, according to Dawson County Sheriff Jeff Johnson.

Katherine Scott Landrum was last seen Oct. 10 leaving her Forsyth County residence for a friend’s house in the area of Athens Boat Club in Dawson County.

Her body was recovered from the lake near the Athens Boat Club by authorities at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 11.

Johnson said the cause of her death is still under investigation.
