NOA Talent Show preview

Auditions for the third annual North Georgia’s Got Talent competition will be held this Saturday afternoon at Papa’s Place in Dawsonville.

Judges for the annual talent show will be accepting auditions from 3 to 5 p.m. April 27 at Papa’s Place, 3651 Dawson Forest Road.

All talents and ages are welcome and more than $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the show’s winners.

The talent show is an annual fundraiser for No One Alone, or NOA, a women’s domestic violence shelter serving Dawson and Lumpkin counties.

Auditions will be held every Monday night from 8 to 10 p.m. at Shenanigan’s Open Mic with Tommy Pirone. Open mic nights can be viewed on Facebook. Contestants can sign up at the restaurant.

All proceeds from the $40 entrance fee go to help victims of domestic violence and abuse.

More audition venues will be announced in the next few weeks.

Video auditions will be accepted.

For more information, call Jean Baker at (706) 372-4260 or email jbaker@noonealone.org.

All proceeds from the event will go to help the shelter, which along with shelter facilities also provides crisis intervention and ongoing support programs, counseling and legal advocacy to families in crisis as well as community awareness programs to the general public and in the schools. All services NOA provides are free and confidential.
