Associated Credit Union is making a big impact in the Dawson County community. On Feb. 8, ACU presented Family Connection of Dawson County, a non-profit organization committed to making measurable improvements for children and families in Georgia, with a $5,000 donation.

“Family Connection of Dawson County is an indispensable organization in the community,” said Connie Smith, ACU Dawsonville branch manager. “We are thrilled to donate to Family Connection so that they may continue to offer many wonderful programs to improve the lives of families and children in our community.”

Family Connection Director Nancy Stites said ACU’s donation allows her organization to offer more programming and resources to Dawson County children.

“Family Connection’s vision is that all children in Dawson County will have the opportunity to become successful, contributing, productive and self-sustaining adults,” Stites said. “This donation from Associated Credit Union will open opportunities for us to offer additional activities, events and resources to these deserving youth. Their generosity will go very far in making our vision a reality, and it is greatly appreciated.”

Associated CU is headquartered in Norcross with 22 branches in Metro Atlanta, Dawsonville, and Carrolton, and three offices in Augusta serving over 160,000 members. Associated CU is a full-service financial institution that has been serving the community for over 85 years.
