Annual Young Life race Aug. 21

Young Life Dawson has scheduled its fifth annual 5K run for Aug. 21 at Rock Creek Park to raise dollars for the Christian youth organization.

  

Those wishing to attend can show up before the race at 7:15 a.m. to register.

T-shirts and race numbers can be picked up when registering.

  

The event begins at 8 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three finishers, male and female, in all age groups.

  

Registration fee is $20 per person.

  

For the safety of participants, no strollers, skates, bicycles or dogs are allowed on the course. Motorized vehicles are also not allowed.

  

According to its Web site, the mission of Young Life is “introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith.”
